The Golden Rule Marble, encircled with a band bearing the inscription – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matthew 7:12) – was created by Jesse Shwayder in 1910 as a timeless symbol for living, upon which he founded the Samsonite Corporation.
Fifty years ago, the founder of our partner firm, Valmark Financial Group, was given the Golden Rule Marble which became an enduring touchstone guiding the firm toward the highest ethical standards in all of its dealings.
